In a word, “philomath”; that is to say that I am a lover of learning. Which is 110% accurate. And I use this love to pursue a variety of interests, learn new skills, and improve upon those I currently possess. My scientific background encourages using a multidisciplinary approach for problem-solving, and my tertiary education (spanning 4 different locations in 3 countries, attending 3 universities, over the course of 2 degrees) allows me to employ a global perspective and think outside the equilateral, equiangular parallelogram.
I am passionate about many things, including behavioural ecology, environmental sustainability, ecological genetics, and environmental policy (remember, philomath!). I have recently developed an interest in the interaction between science and the general public, and bridging the gap in order to accurately relay scientific information in an effective manner. Media provides an incredible opportunity to share information to a wide audience, and I am currently actively developing my skills with wildlife filmmaking. In short, I am seeking experiences that will allow me to build on my education and provide professional and personal growth.
