Endangered marine life



The Garden Route boasts a wealth of marine species that South Africans are proud to say live in their “backyard”. Despite the fact that South Africa has 24 Marine Protected Areas, a recent report has shown that mismanagement and lack of funding combined with slow bureaucratic processes is denuding the very foundation of these sensitive areas.
